Linux Mandrake is my current preferred linux distribution. I have been using it on and off since version 6. I am currently running 8.1 at home and at work.
To find Mandrake look at http://www.linux-mandrake.com/
I think Mandrake is one of the better Linux distributions because
- Up to date packages (normally ahead of Red Hat/SUSE)
- Unified configuration utils
- Best Desktop distribution - it is a replacement for Windows
- It is ok as a server distribtion and comes with some advance security features other distros lack. The weakness here is few commecial packages officially support it (e.g. Oracle? and IPlanet?.
- It is the easiest Install I have seen
- They support many Open Source projects
